Things that changed after I became a mom. So many times PRIOR to becoming a mom I would think to myself, I won’t do that or I will do that and then you actually become a mom.
Here are a few things I told myself or I thought:
– My baby will never sleep in my bed.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Mya sleeps with us about 100% of the time. We worked with her to get her to sleep in her crib, but most nights she only last a few hours. I would like to add that Mya was an excellent sleeper and never slept with us until she was 9 months. She got really sick with tonsillitis and would only sleep if I was holding her. You will do things you said you will NEVER do to get sleep. Needless to say, she is ended up in our bed and hasn’t really left since.
– I want to breastfeed, but if it doesn’t work out no big deal.
I had no clue how psycho I would become making sure it DID work. It’s an odd accomplishment I was very proud of.
– Why won’t they just leave their baby and go out?
Here’s a thought, maybe they don’t want to leave their baby… I love the idea of a kid free dinner. But the second we drop Mya off I miss her!
– Pumping and dumping- what’s the big deal?
One word: Tragic
You work SO HARD for the milk and then to dump it down the drain. Gahhhh
– My house will still be clean
Who has time to clean? Like really? Mya can destroy a room in seconds. I’ve been waiving the white flag on cleaning for a while now.
Now I just laugh at people who don’t have kids act like they know what they are talking about. Bish please.
